Pakistan charges 18% Sales Tax (since 2024, previously 17%) plus 0–25% duty by category. The import regime is strict — the government restricts luxury goods and electronics imports to preserve foreign currency reserves. The recipient needs a CNIC (Computerized National Identity Card) for customs. Main destinations: Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad.

- CN22 is a simplified customs declaration for parcels up to 2 kg and €270 in value. Completed at the post office or generated by the carrier. Without CN22, the parcel may be held at customs.

Can I send alcohol to Pakistan?
No. Pakistan is an Islamic republic and importing alcohol is completely prohibited (except diplomatic shipments). Violation results in confiscation and a fine; in some provinces it may even lead to prosecution. Pork products are equally prohibited.
