Namibia is a SACU (Southern African Customs Union) member — it shares the customs system with South Africa. De minimis for personal shipments is ~500 NAD (~€25); above this, duty per the SACU schedule plus 15% VAT apply. Namibia has modern customs infrastructure — NamRA (Namibia Revenue Agency) manages clearance in Windhoek. Clearance takes 2–5 days. DHL and FedEx cover the whole country.
Required documents
- CN22 is a simplified customs declaration for parcels up to 2 kg and €270 in value. Completed at the post office or generated by the carrier. Without CN22, the parcel may be held at customs.
