Canada is outside the EU. Federal GST is 5%, with provinces adding PST/HST — combined rate ranges from 5% (Alberta) to 15% (Atlantic provinces: NB, NS, NL, PE). GST/HST applies to shipments above 20 CAD. Duty is 0% for most goods, up to 18% for clothing and footwear. CN22 up to 400 CAD, CN23 for higher-value shipments.
Required documents
- CN22 is a simplified customs declaration for parcels up to 2 kg and €270 in value. Completed at the post office or generated by the carrier. Without CN22, the parcel may be held at customs.
